The Sundial Splash is a family fun community river float, with a race, designed to focus on the heart of our community: The Sacramento River. This event is hosted by the Enterprise Lions Club in partnership with Headwaters Adventure Company.

Join the Paddle Sport Community for a massive public float down the Sacramento River through the City of Redding. This event is open to citizens at every level of paddle ability, no experience necessary. This moving water paddle event is open to all paddle sport enthusiasts in kayaks, canoes, surfskis, standup paddleboards, outriggers, prone paddleboards, drift boats, rafts, and anything else you can paddle. In fact, if you have never paddled the river, this is your day. Begin your trip at Riverfront Park listening to a sunrise concert. After your journey, treat yourself to lunch at South Bonnyview’s Reginato River Access. You can leave your equipment safely under the watchful eyes of the Redding Police Explorers while you enjoy return transportation to Riverfront Park, which is included with your ticket purchase and provided by the Redding Area Bus Authority (RABA).

Happy 20th Anniversary Redding Sundial Bridge!

The Sundial Splash was established during the 10th Anniversary of the Sundial Bridge in 2014.

10-years later, the Sundial Splash is happy to celebrate this year as the 20th Anniversary of the Sundial Bridge and wish all partnering organizations, citizens and events that are part of the Sundial Bridge 20-year celebration, a happy and safe celebration.

FLOAT ROUTE

The float is a 6-mile route

will start at the Riverfront Park and end at the South

Bonneyview boat ramp.

RAFTING CATEGORIES

Choose a category then float down the river-first one to the end receives a prize! Categories are kayaks, tandem craft, canoes, standup paddleboard, surfski or raft.

Event

This is a community float event for moving water paddlers and is open to all paddle sport enthusiasts. In fact, if you have never paddled the river, this is your day. Begin your trip at the Posse Grounds boat ramp and enjoy the Sacramento River while paddling down the race course. After your journey, treat yourself to lunch at South Bonnyview’s Reginato River Access.

Return transportation will be provided by RABA and is included with the purchase of your ticket. Celebrate our river culture and join us on this auspicious occasion.
